I'm always looking for ways to try to understand right-wingers since their positions on many political issues are simply beyond my comprehension. While reading something the other day, the following crossed my mind...

Among Democrats, we view the government and the economic engine of the nation as entities designed to serve the people of the world .

Among Republicans, they view the people as servants of the government and the economic engine.

I could elaborate on this, and might at some point, but for now I'll just leave this for you to ruminate on. Feel free to comment.
