STARKVILLE - Careful placement of corporate insiders from the oil, gas and mining industries into key federal government offices that oversee environmental regulations - coupled with a complacent press that no longer concerns itself with looking seriously at government and corporate cronyism - has left today's environment worse off that it's been in decades, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told an audience at Mississippi State University Monday night.

“This is the worst environmental White House that we've ever had in American history,” said the environmental lawyer/activist and the son of one of America's first families. Kennedy is the author of the book “Crimes Against Nature: How George W. Bush and His Corporate Pals Are Plundering the Country and Hijacking Our Democracy.”
