Making Progress?
A recent poll reported on by CNN shows that Americans expect more gridlock from Congress if the Democrats gain a majority of the seats in the House of Representatives. I think this is hilarious.
Name one major reform that the Republicans have enacted while controlling all levels of government. They can't get out of their own way. Social Security reform? Nada. Medicare and Medicaid reform? Nothing. Protection of civil rights (NSA wiretapping)? Not concerned. Name something, anything, that the Repub... oops - I almost missed it. They've cut taxes on the wealthiest Americans and ballooned the federal deficit.
I guess they have done something.
